A: We provide enterprise software to help organizations develop and enable best practices that deliver true improvement in Patient Safety and Quality of Care.
Q: Which applications does your system provide?
A: Performance Improvement Projects, Peer Review, Case Review, Incident Reporting, OPPE, FPPE, Utilization Review, Root Cause Analysis, Apparent Cause Analysis, etc.
Q: How is the software installed?
A: We are a SaaS (Software-as-a-Service) solution, so no server installations are required. Client software for PCs and Macs is available via a download from the Acesis website.
Q: How long will it take my organization to get up and running?
A: You can be up and running in a matter of minutes depending on what you will be doing. Peer reviewers can be operational within 5-10 minutes. A department can be started with a matter of a couple of weeks. Depending on the training needs and assistance needed with provisioning (if any) as well as assistance with authoring new processes, it can take longer.
Q: Will I or my staff need training to use the software?
A: Yes, although it is very minimal. Based on different roles, training usually is between 30 minutes and 3 hours.
Q: How do you price your service?
A: By user, including full access to all processes within the system.
Q: Do you offer a site license?
A: We can provide a site license, but typically we build in the appropriate volume discounts to accommodate the need to balance volume usage and cost.
Q: Does implementation require upfront services?
A: Basic startup services are recommended, though not required. We offer three starter services packages, from minimal to substantial, depending on the level of your needs.
Q: What if we don’t use all the services time we have signed up for?
A: We can refund you based on prorated time not used.
Q: What are your core technologies?
A: Adobe Air, Adobe Live Cycle, Adobe Flex, Java, IBM DB2, and Spring Framework
Q: What about security?
A: We partner with a Tier 1 data center (Terremark) which enables all our customer organizations to access the same top level hosting capabilities without having to buy and maintain servers.
Q: Who owns the data?
A: You own the data, always.
Q: Is the data discoverable?
A: We sign a Business Associate Agreement, so the data is protected based under your Medical Staff bylaws.
Q: Is it protected and backed up?
A: Yes. We provide both local and off-site redundancy.
Q: What terminologies do you provide?
A: The Medcin clinical terminology and a library of Performance Improvement terminology that Acesis has constructed during the course of our collaboration with customers.
Q:How do you get patient information into your system?
A: There are a couple of ways:
- You can enter the information manually.
- If you are working from spreadsheets, we can import comma-separated data.
- Using our integration framework, we can take in any data you have set your system up to send us.
- We can provide a custom integration if you are looking for more seamless, real-time integration.
Q: Is it possible to integrate the Acesis system into our internal physician portal?
A: Yes, we can easily integrate data capture from your portal, which can facilitate hospital-wide incident reporting or surveys, etc.
Q: Can you do reporting?
A: Yes, the system includes full ad-hoc reporting and analysis.
Q: Can I do email notification?
A: Yes, you can easily notify colleagues of new tasks by email.
Q: Can I generate letters to physicians?
A: Yes, creating letters to physicians is simple. The physicians can confirm receipt and respond directly to cases.
Q: Can you limit access and usage?
A: Yes, access to data and system functions can be limited by user role or by project.
